Position Overview
DT Commercial Roofing Systems is seeking a Commercial Junior Service Repair Technician to support our growing service and repair division. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, willing to learn, and interested in building a long-term career in commercial roofing.
The Junior Tech will work under the direction of senior technicians and supervisors, assisting with roof leak investigations, minor repairs, preventative maintenance, and service calls on commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior service technicians with commercial roof repairs and maintenance
- Perform basic repairs on:
- Help with leak investigations and diagnostics
- Clean roof surfaces and work areas before and after repairs
- Perform routine maintenance tasks:
- Take direction, follow repair procedures, and learn proper commercial roofing methods
- Maintain a clean, organized service truck and job site
- Follow all safety protocols (fall protection, PPE, ladder safety, etc.)
- Communicate clearly with supervisors regarding job progress and issues
Qualifications & Requirements
- 1+ year of construction, roofing, or maintenance experience preferred (not required)
- Willingness to learn commercial roofing systems and repair techniques
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Comfortable working on roofs and at heights
- Basic hand tool knowledge
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Preferred (Not Required)
- Prior commercial roofing experience
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 (can be provided if needed)
- Experience with service/repair work vs. full reroofs
