Job Title: Business Development Representative – Commercial Roofing Division
Overview: As a Business Development Representative for our commercial roofing division, you will be responsible for identifying, prospecting, and acquiring new business opportunities within the commercial roofing sector. Your primary goal will be to generate leads, nurture relationships, and close deals to increase our market share and revenue in the commercial roofing industry.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation: Identify potential clients through various channels such as cold calling, networking, referrals, industry events, and online research. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of leads.
- Prospecting: Research and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to develop targeted prospect lists. Initiate contact with prospects to introduce our commercial roofing solutions and services.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers, property managers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders in the commercial construction industry. Understand their pain points, requirements, and project timelines.
- Consultative Selling: Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand the specific requirements of each prospect. Present tailored solutions that address their roofing challenges, enhance energy efficiency, reduce maintenance costs, and improve the overall lifespan of their roofing systems.
- Proposal Development: Collaborate with our technical team and estimators to create comprehensive and competitive proposals that align with the client’s budget, timeline, and specifications. Follow up on proposals and negotiate terms to secure contracts.
- Contract Closure: Manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact to contract signing. Overcome objections, address concerns, and provide timely follow-up to ensure a smooth and successful closing process.
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Utilize our CRM system to track sales activities, update customer information, and manage communication with prospects and clients. Provide regular reports and updates to the sales manager on sales performance, pipeline status, and market insights.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns, promotional materials, and sales collateral to support your business development efforts. Provide feedback on market trends, customer preferences, and competitor strategies to inform our marketing strategies.
